The SmithScapes Story
In 1990, when I was just ten years old, I started Hickory Lake Lawn Service for families in my neighborhood. During the summer, I also worked for a local landscape construction company, gaining additional experience, and understanding about operating a professional business. My educational background is in Landscape Horticulture, Turf Grass Management, and Business Management.
That’s why at SmithScapes, we treat each project like we are working with family. For over 20 years, we’ve helped homeowners create outdoor sanctuaries. From hardscapes, outdoor living spaces, lighting systems, to even sprinkler installations, we transform the exterior of your home to the oasis of your dreams.
Where We Are Now
In 2000, I founded SmithScapes and designed our first company website.
By 2004, I purchased our current property at 5837 Dry Fork Road in Cleves, Ohio, and built our office and shop. Not long thereafter, we sold the lawn service portion of the business in order to focus exclusively on landscape construction. We became a Reading Rock Preferred Contractor, Unilock Certified and Diamond Elite Kichler Lighting Contractor along with other certifications and awards.
Today, SmithScapes has expanded to include our design team, 6 construction crews and over 25 service trucks, trailers, and skid steers. Backed by our experienced and knowledgeable support staff and over 100 years of combined experience, SmithScapes is ready to help our clients realize their every landscape need and desire.
